The custom computer cases are becoming more and more popular as of lately, especially those with glass-made side panels. In this review, we’ll be taking a look at one such PC chassis – it’s called Eclipse P400 Tempered Glass, and it’s made by the Dutch company Phanteks, well-known for quality PC cases. This is a Mid-Tower model, coming with a great style and design, as well as with the necessary functionality that every PC enthusiast requires. We’ve decided to check out is this case really as good as some people claim it is – join us!
Interesting Features of Phanteks Eclipse P400 TG Edition
This case makes a striking statement straight out of the box. The first thing to notice is the presence of the beautiful side panel which is made out of tempered glass and shows off a pretty stunning view of the case’s interior. The other side looks much more reserved – there’s just a solid black panel there, and it’s held in place by two thumb screws. The front panel of the Eclipse P400 TG also features a clean design, allowing some ventilation at the bottom and the top part. The top of the front panel also contains controls for the lighting, fan speed, and the power.
The interior of Eclipse P400 TG, on the other hand, offers lots of space for the hardware. Installing the components is very easy with this chassis, as there are the necessary cable routing holes and a huge processor cooler cut-out on the back. We liked the presence of the ventilated PSU cover, as well as of the pre-cut mounts for the water cooling. Behind the motherboard, you’ll find two dedicated drive mounts (2.5″), while the PSU cover hides two tray mounts for 2.5″ or 3.5″ drives. Of course, there’s also enough space for the ATX PSU and all the excess cables.
