The Design
While the unit has a thickness of 1.1 cm, it is designed as a slick 15′ display that handles nicely in our hands. It has several buttons on its side that opens up the various options that you can tweak for a perfect monitor, and its edges are curved, making it a nice rounded up screen. The screen protector covers the whole front side which is made from plastic.
The back of the unit has a fixed magnetic stand that can be used to place your monitor wherever you find a flat surface. The speakers are placed on the top. The quality of the speakers is good enough for a portable display. It is quite light as it weighs 812g without the screen protector. It performs like a second screen very nicely, and you can use it on most mobile devices.
Usefulness
Like we mentioned before it can be upgraded with additional features, which kind of sets it apart from many similar products in the market. That alone gives it an edge when it comes to its usefulness, as everyone who needs a second screen in the same working space can attach this device to the wall and detach it once you need to go mobile.
Other than that, GeChic 1503A performs the same as many other computer screens on the market. The only downside is that the screen can’t be viewed from all angles as the visibility drops at certain angles. We can definitely see people who have several needs from this device making full use of this one and all its features.
The Performance
When it comes to the performance, we have to say we were pleasantly surprised with what it has to offer. It certainly is not the best portable display on the market, as it is also not the most expensive one, however with its additional add-ons, it becomes quite a powerhouse for a second portable monitor. The OSD color setting offers 6 different color settings. It works perfectly as a plug and play device and can be used on smartphones, TV, desktop PC’s, laptops and gaming consoles.
Warranty
When it comes to the warranty, the GeChic 1503A lets us down. While some devices have opted to go for a 2-year warranty and some even go as far as the three, the GeChic 1503A only offers a one-year warranty. This is a deal breaker for some, and we understand that stance as we believe that there should be a minimum of two years on every electronic device when it comes to warranty.

Our experience was pleasant and a positive surprise as it comes with some nice perks, but only if you buy additional equipment. It alone performs quite nicely but in the end is a standard display screen. However, if you buy the extra equipment, this little device can quickly turn into your go-to portable monitor for almost all activities, as it can both become your second hand at your work, and it can become an excellent addition in your travels.
The outdoor capabilities it offers are functional as the glare is not that bad. However, the screen is not visible from all angles which might put off some outdoor users off it in the first place.
