LL Series RGB LED Case Fans Reviewed
Corsair LL Series

Who doesn’t know about Corsair? This is one of the most famous hardware companies on this side of the water, headquartered in California and well-known for their quality computer peripherals.

Today, we have decided to take a closer look at their new series of RGB LED fans, which is the LL series. It is available in both the 120mm and 140mm sizes and, thanks to its Hydraulic Dynamic Bearing it boasts quieter operation and longer life. If those qualities are the ones you were looking for, read on and find everything about this series’ features, advantages, and flaws.

Interesting Features of the Corsair LL Series RGB Fans

Corsair has always been the world leader when it comes to enthusiast PC components, which is precisely why we expected these new RGB fans to be of the highest quality. They stand out from the rest, and one of the main reasons behind that is the fact that they provide two independent lighting zones. They feature LEDs in their outer rings and their hubs, and the user can set different colors in each of these zones. This is pretty impressive, as it allows you to create a pretty unique look and one that’s sure to attract some attention.

The fins of these fans are manufactured from a diffuse translucent material, which spreads the light in an even way. The inner edges and the inner hubs are also made out of this material, which, in turn, creates quite a vibrant glow. Each fan comes with 16 LEDs, with 12 of them being in the outer ring, and 4 in the hub. Just like we expected, the fans are compatible with the manufacturer’s “Link” software, and also support the so-called PWM control that allows the user to control the speed. The 120mm version generates 24,8 dBA at its maximum speed and operates at 600-1500 RPM, while the 140mm version produces 25 dBA and works at 600-1300 RPM.

Like we mentioned in the intro, the LL series fans can be purchased in both the 140mm and 120mm variants. The 140mm ones can be bought individually and in packs of two, while the 120mm are sold in packs of three and separately. The multipacks come with the manufacturer’s Lighting Node Pro controller.

As far as we’re concerned, the guys and girls from Corsair have managed to raise the RGB illumination game. Even though these fans are quite pricey at the moment, they’re one of the best possible choices for all PC enthusiasts who’d like to make a real light show out of their components. We predict a bright future for this series – it certainly deserves one.
